Course Overview and Requirements

Shooting Targets

NOTE: This course is Missouri POST approved for Law Enforcement Continuing Education Credit.
Course consists of safety brief, live fire drills, and room clearing (NOTE: This course is intensive there will be some physical exertion)

 

Length of course is 8 hours or more depending on number of class participants
 

Items required for completion of the course
 

Firearm – Either a revolver or semi-automatic in proper working condition. Semi-automatic’s must have at least three magazines, it would be preferred that you have more, as you will learn more and have more fun doing so. If your going to use a revolver it would be preferred that you have at least eight (8) speed loaders, for the same reason as the semi-auto’s.
 

Ammunition – minimum of 600 rounds (no unsafe ammunition that you dug out of grandpa’s footlocker, as we will not have time for you to run to the store and pick up more ammo if/when the ammo fails to fire or function in your weapon. Quality reloads are acceptable though.
 

Holster – Kydex type holster. No serpa or similar type holsters will be allowed due to numerous incidents nationwide of accident discharges involving the design. (if you don’t have this please contact me and I can assist you in obtaining)
 

Magazine Pouch (single or double)/Speed Loader pouch – (if you don’t have this please contact me and I can assist you in obtaining)
 

Hearing protection – Wrap around or foam ear protection is acceptable.
 

Eye protection
 

Attire – Appropriate clothing for the environment, brimmed hat, shirt, shorts or pants.  Ladies I wouldn’t wear loose fitting tops as hot brass going down your shirt doesn’t feel good. The range is outdoors.
 

Knee & Elbow Padding – it will make the course more enjoyable
 

Proper attitude – Willingness to learn, Focused on Safety
 

 

Course fee – $150 Cash or Check
A non-refundable $75 deposit is required at the time of booking to insure a spot
